Room 109 visited the store Friday!

Rotation

Room 109 has learned about how objects need a push or pull to put it in motion. We are also learning about rotation. 

Sweet Potatoes

OEarlier in the year, room 109 dug up sweet potatoes from the school garden. Today some school volunteers brought those sweet potatoes in as sweet potato fries! We all had a great time trying to fries and then we got to learn more about the sweet potato. 

Take Home Books

Take-home books are still available. They are a great way for your child to read an independent level book every night!

Phonics Go Fish

Room 109 students were playing go fish to help them learn about words with blends such as -sl, -br and pr. 

Balance Points and Counterweights

Room 109 has been learning about balance. We extended this learning by experimenting with changing the balance points and counterweights (clothes pins) of a card stock crawfish.

Yoga Break

Indoor recess has not kept room 109 from getting exercise.
